Rosa revisits her home country of El Salvador with her mother and brother. She gets reaquainted with her many relatives and they celebrate her nineth birthday. After the party, Rosa is given another birthday surprise by her grandmother, which then reconnects her to the memory of her deceased father in a wonderful way.
